How it plays

Each night you inspect one player and learn their exact role: not just Mafia or not, but Doctor, Detective, Bodyguard. You are the crew's intelligence officer; you tell the Killers who to shoot and who to frame.

The Consigliere joins at six Mafia members, in the largest games.

Tips

• Find the Doctor first; once the Doctor is dead every kill lands.
• Then the Detective; then any Bodyguard so the crew knows which targets are guarded.
• Use your knowledge in discussion carefully: "I think they might be the Doctor" from a townsperson is plausible, from a player who is always right it is a tell.

Counter-play

Power roles counter the Consigliere by staying unpredictable and by having the Doctor self-protect when the crew seems to know too much.
