Citizen

Your power is your voice and your vote.

Faction: Town

Citizen

The town's majority. No night power, all the voting power.

Objective
Root out the Mafia and vote them out.
Night ability
No night action — your power is discussion and your vote.
Always in the deck

How it plays

Citizens are most of the table in every game. You sleep through the night, wake at dawn to hear who died, and spend the day doing the only thing that wins games for the town: reading people and voting well.

You are never told anything for certain, so your information is behaviour: who accused first, who changed their vote late, who went quiet after a dawn announcement, who benefits if a claim is true.

Tips

  • Track votes. A player who repeatedly avoids voting for the eventual Mafia is telling you something.
  • Ask direct questions and watch who answers for someone else.
  • Do not claim to be a power role as a bluff early; you waste the town's trust and the real role's cover.
  • Surviving matters for ranked points: staying alive on the winning side is worth 30, so avoid loud, low-information accusations that get you night-killed.

Counter-play

Mafia beat Citizens by splitting the town's votes and by killing the loudest correct voice at night. Stay coordinated and keep the vote focused.
